LIAA has published renewed “Business Guide to Latvia”

The Investment and Development Agency of Latvia has published an updated version of “Business Guide to Latvia”, which informs investors about the investment environment and opportunities in Latvia. This material is released annually.

The publication “Business Guide to Latvia 2022”, found on the website investinlatvia.org, covers everything that is important for an investor, starting from general facts and quality of life in Latvia to a detailed information on taxation, support programs, business incentives, key business sectors and infrastructure. This material compiles the most practical links to discover any of these topics in depth. 

In the opening speech, Kaspars Rožkalns, Director General of LIAA, highlights that “Latvia is determined to become the headquarters of sustainable innovations targeting such topics as circular economy and climate challenges by creating an environment for rapid innovations and long-term investments. We are set to increase Latvian exports to 22 billion EUR in 2023 and reach 27 billion EUR in 2027.”

This year LIAA has also included additional information about the new Business Technology Centre, opportunities to obtain grants for filmmaking, international security, and ways to support Ukraine. Many successful FDI stories have been included, such as Rud Pederssen, Epam, Magnusson Law and Pulsar Optics.

The Director of the Investment Promotion Division, Ivi Anna Buce points out that “Business Guide is a practical handbook that highlights the unique value that Latvia can offer to our investors in smart specialization sectors (RIS3), human resources, taxation and everyday life. With Mission Sea 2030, new economy and governance model will be introduced in Latvia, helping us emerge as the leaders in green economy in the Baltics.
