Leax Group has three production facilities in Sweden, two in Latvia and one in Brazil, for a total of approximately 450 employees. LEAX Baltix was founded in 2001 and already in May 2003 the production started in the Pinki factory, outside of Riga. The production in the Rezekne factory started in January 2008. One of the main business drivers of opening a factory in Latvia was to complete Leax’s order portfolio with products produced on semi-automated lines using CNC machines. Both factories provide machining of metal automotive parts - gear box components - for manufacturers of trucks and busses in Sweden - Volvo Trucks, Scania, Arvin and Meritor.
LEAX serves major industries such as commercial vehicles, mining and construction, agriculture, general industry and telecommunications. Leax Rezekne provides serial metalworking services for commercial transport, mining and passenger transport sectors. Company provides services for such well-known companies as Volvo, MAN, Scania CV, Meritor US, Atlas Copco, Sandvik Mining & Construction.
For the company the biggest strength of doing business in Latvia is wide range of metalworking process, including all main ways of metal thermal processing.
