The Lidl logistics center building in Dreiliņi is put into operation

“Lidl Latvija” and the construction company “Merks” have completed construction works at the “Lidl” logistics center in Riga, Dreiliņi, and the object has been put into operation.

The newly built 51 thousand square meter logistics center in Riga, Dzelzavas Street 131, will ensure the operation of “Lidl” stores in Latvia and Estonia. The company's headquarters will also be located there.

To this date, with more than 55 million euros invested in the construction of the “Lidl” logistics center, this is the largest investment in the retail chain in Latvia.

It is planned that “Lidl Latvija” logistics center will create more than 150 new jobs in Latvia. These will be additional jobs for several hundred “Lidl” employees who are already working in Riga. Through its activities, the newly built logistics center will also open up new cooperation opportunities for local transport and logistics companies.

The works of “Lidl” logistics center in Dreiliņi started in 2018. In addition to the warehouse areas, the new building will also have office space, a staff canteen, conference rooms and lounges.
