Nearly 300 thousand passengers served in July

In July 2021, 297.7 thousand passengers were served at Riga International Airport, which is 58.6 % more than in July 2020 and 88.8 % more than in the previous month.

According to data from the Central Statistical Bureau published August 20, this is the largest number of passengers served since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.

The total number of flights in July was 4 319, which is 31.8 % more than a year ago. The total volume of loaded and unloaded cargo and mail decreased by 5,3 %1.

For the fourth consecutive month, the number of passengers at Riga International Airport has increased compared to both the previous month and the same month a year ago.

In July 2021, there were 1.1 thousand tons of loaded cargo and mail, which is 12.7 % more than in July 2020, and 0.8 thousand tons of unloaded cargo and mail, which is 22.7 % less.
