Baltic Startup Funding Report updated to cover H2 2022

Change Ventures has just released the latest update to its semi-annual Baltic Startup Funding Report published since 2020. The report takes an in-depth look at funding data across Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, and outlines current trends. The February 2023 update covers rounds through H2 2022. 

Some conclusions from the latest update:

• the Baltic states together are almost at parity with Europe’s best both in terms of startups and unicorns per capita
• the global funding slowdown is clearly felt also across the Baltic states
• Estonia still receives the lion’s share of funding rounds, especially at later stages, though Lithuania and Latvia are growing and their early stage round trend indicates that they will also develop larger growth stage funding opportunities in the coming years.
