Accenture will train 300 people in the summer

As a result of the pandemic, more and more people and students from other sectors are considering a career change and starting a career in information technology (IT). This summer, the company Accenture plans to train about 300 people to start a career in the IT industry.

“Currently, companies and organizations are more actively implementing digital solutions and services that promote the growth of the industry and IT companies. At the end of February, the first half of the financial year of the Accenture Latvian branch ended. Although accurate financial data will be available at the end of the year. Taking into account people’s interest in starting a career in IT, I expect that the number of employees in Latvia could reach 2,000 during the year, “says Maksims Jegorovs, Head of Accenture in Latvia.

For the summer season of 2021, Accenture will offer 17 training courses, which can be divided into three major groups – programming, consulting, and programming and consulting. Most of the training offered will be programming training (Java, .Net, LowCode and testing courses). SAP courses are planned in the consulting training group, where you will be able to get acquainted with business tools, including data migration solutions, as well as train the assistant project manager. In the programming and consulting training group you will be able to get acquainted with the principles of Devops and their application in cloud computing, big data, as well as various data management solutions, as well as a robotics process modelling training course, is planned.

The training is part of the company‘s recruitment program, after which participants receive a certificate and, most successfully, a paid internship at Accenture. Most trainees become employees of the company. The training acquires basic IT knowledge and skills for starting a career, and they are closer to daily work on projects. During the training, participants acquire both practical and theoretical knowledge and learn to work in a team. Training provides an opportunity to work in the IT industry and continue working in an international company. The training is free and will last 1-8 weeks, depending on the chosen field of training. All training will take place remotely.

On the other hand, women who do not have a basic knowledge of computer science, but have the desire and motivation to start a career in IT, have analytical thinking and a good command of English, have until May 15 to apply for the She Goes Tech training program with Accenture.

Over the past three years, more than 1,200 people have been trained to start their IT careers in Accenture bootcamp. Since the introduction of the She Goes Tech program (together with Riga TechGirls), 765 women have acquired basic computer skills. Some She Goes Tech participants have already started internships or careers in IT companies, including 99 women who work or have internships at Accenture.

Accenture is an international management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company. Accenture Latvia branch was founded in 2002.
